The Maxi Coaxial Reel set is our answer for those customers who want a larger reel. One person called it the "Monster Reel". Saunders discontinued the Archery Zip reel Eric used to make our Zip reels with, so we came up with a similar diameter reel - this Maxi Reel - 175mm or almost 7 inches in diameter. This reel won't fit in the 18 inch PADS cases, at least not with a launcher in there with it. It will hold about 400 yards of 50 pound test launch line. It has a 2" section of barrel material inside - a barrel extension. It friction fits on the launcher barrel. It has a line holder. It is a scaled up version of our popular Mini Coaxial reel. If you want a bigger reel, this Maxi might be it - . If you want something that will fit in an 18 inch tool case with a CSV17 then look at the Mini Coaxial reel instead. These reels are somewhat stronger than the Zip Reels so they can take a little more tension on the line in the spool without breaking, however too much tension over time may distort the plastic. This Maxi Reel set comes pre-wound with 125 yards of 50 pound test Spectra high visibility launch line. Note that if the line is wrapped behind the line holder during launching it will snap. The line must be only lightly retained in the front side of the holder for it to be able to pull free when launching.
