One customer’s launcher broke when it fell on a hard surface. Broken launchers can usually be repaired. There is a “Socket Saver” tool that allows the broken pipe to be drilled out of the socket and a new one cemented in its place. These tools pilot on the inner diameter of the pipe. Make certain to purchase the proper size. The tools are about $25 at well stocked plumbing suppliers.
